They add that they will look to work on the new deal with Foden and his representatives before the beginning of the new season in order to ward off any big-name suitors such as Real Madrid.

The England man was named as the Premier League and FWA Player of the Year and already has six league winners' medals, cementing his place as one of his generation's best talents.
