Kulusevski capped a glorious game of football with a late equaliser to earn Ange Postecoglou's side a point in a remarkable 3-3 draw. He had also assisted Son Heung-min's opener – Giovani Lo Celso scored Spurs' second – and subsequently became the first player to both score and assist in multiple Premier League games against Pep Guardiola's side at the Etihad Stadium. He also scored and laid on an assist in 2022.

Speaking after the game, the Sweden international told Sky Sports: "It was an unbelievable second half from us and I'm proud of the guys and really we have to play like this all season."
On the comeback, he said: "Really hard but the second half was unbelievable. It was too bad that we conceded that goal because if we kept playing like that we would have won the game but we have to learn. There are a lot of things to learn but if we can just learn to get better mentally then we will be on top."
